Babee Al' Mighty

Today babee came to Mega Kids to meet us. When you two saw him, you just clung on to him like bee and honey. You 3 had so much of fun, rolling, climbing, jumping and swearing (Reeve). That is why Babee put Reeve on the baloon and slapped his bum and reprimanded Reeve not to swear anymore.

At around 7 pm, Babee sent us home and went for dinner with some bankers, i put you two to sleep at 9pm, but only succeeded at 9.45pm. It all went well till 11plus, when i heard Renee coughing badly...this coughing continued till 2am until i was vibrated by the cough. I remember feeding Renee cough mixture and anti-biotics before she went to bed, how come it became so bad? I told Babee about the coughing and he ask me to slab some Vicks on the sole of your feet, wear socks and wait for 30mins, then see if Renee sleeps well. I did that and VIOLA!!!! at around 2.40am, you snorred all the way till this 8.45am morning.

Both you and Reeve woke me this morning, but i just couldn't move due to the disturbances last night. Thank god Babee is such a smart boy! if not all of us would have suffered all night long. Babee had always been good with all these home remedies. I remembered, when you were 3+, you had such high fever in the middle of the night and Babee sponged you with cold water continuously for hours to bring your temperature down. Must ask Babee to publish a book..heheehe..

The Mole

Early April when mami brought you and Reeve to Kuching, i noticed that you had a small brown spot on the tip of your right philtrum (midline of the upper lip). I thought it was just a light brown spot and there is no reason to blog about it. I told babee about your spot and he kissed it and say "my pretty daughter". I told AMD and she say its a "hau po mak" (vain mole) and when i told yaya he said its a "sek mak" (gourmet mole). Its has been an excitement for them for the past few months, for each friend they meet, it is a topic of discussion together with your proficiency in Mandarin. They would make you sing all night long in Mandarin and praise your singing and somehow the topic of the beautiful mole will surface as well.

Late last night, you were coughing so badly, so i decided to watch you sleep and force some warm water down your throat to soothe you. as i was feeding you the warm water, i noticed that the brown spot has grown darker and now i am pretty sure that it is a Mole and no longer a "brown spot". Today mami check the internet to get a confirmation that Child Face Moles do appear after a few years and not only during child birth. I have to monitor if it gets darker or grow bigger, if so, then it could be dangerous.

Reeve

You have been swearing everyday to the 2 kakaks, your sister and MM. After mami came back from work and pinched your lips the other day and warned you not to say "fucker", "shitman" and "stupid" anymore...you nodded and apologised to all of them at home. But not for long, you are now speaking in your own language and i personally find it quite hilarious that your mind is coping fast..

Fucker - "Pucker"

Ah Ku say that i cannot scold you now as its a different word and it sounds entirely different. Then when i start scolding you again, you would answer "i didnt say that word also...i said "pucker" ma..dont' always scold me la mami..

March - Aug 2007 Updates

reeve, you have been asking "why" lately to every sentence i asked you to do. "why", "why cannot", "because"? your face is so cheeky and sometimes i just cannot resist pinching your cheeks. I spent the entire day with je-je and you yesterday, its been so long since we woke up and rolled on the bed together. i sniffed your necks and feet and cuddled you two so hard that both couldn't move. nothingelse in this world could give me so much of pleasure like you two hadgiven me. i just had a silly wish, that u two will not grow up so i can sniff and pamper you everyday for the next 40 - 50 years...

renee, you have been cornering reeve lately, everywhere we go, you will not allow kakak, amd or mami to bring reeve along. even when you are watching tv with yaya up the tv area, you ask reev to watch from the tv downstairs. you keep your grandparents, your mami, your kakaks all to yourself. i explained to you not to treat your brother like that, you seem to be lenient for a day then back to your jealous self again. when we sleep together, you will be the first one sleeping next to me and you always point on his bed and say "sailo go back to your bed" "jeje sleep with mami ok". your obedient brother will always give in to you. he is such a gentleman. everytime when i buy chocolates or toys for both of you, you will choose all you want and give the remaining to him. he accepts what ever left over with happy arms and is contented with all he has. mami is slowly trying to bring you two to equality so reeve will not feel left out as he grows...i am still thinking of how i can explain to you and educate you to share and love him more...

Courting Young

Reeve stood by my bed this morning after he woke up, he gently brushed my face with his soft palm, then, instead of calling "mami" he tried a new tagline to get my attention:-

Reeve: Whats your nem (name)? (brushed my cheek with his hand, his head was leaning on his other hand)
Mami: (Opened eyes right away instead of pretenting to sleep) "Janie" i answered
Reeve: "Come Janie" "Go downstairs witt (with) me" (he held my hands to pull me out of bed)
Mami: "So...what is your name handsome?" (i brushed his cheek too)
Reeve: "Reeve Yap!" (he laughed till his pacifier fell off, he was so proud of himself for pulling such a sharp tagline)
